Home is important to me. I need to feel secure, and I like to understand the part of town I’m living in – this helps me feel at home. ‘Neighbourhood’ is a project inspired by the closer world around me. With the sense of community changing from the neighbourhood we grow up and live in,to something on a more global scale, I wanted to scale back down to the former. I think home became an inspiration for this album due to the impending house move I was anticipating last year. I was very much focused on where I was living at the time, and coming to terms with moving on from there. This album was about preparing to move on, and making the most of time in my old neighbourhood.
